Few questions / problems

Post by AKs_SlickPolo »

just had a few questions about the 9N, as well as a few problems. has any1 experienced these or no how to fix these:

annoying rattle from glovebox (but i think ive found a post on how to fix it)

squeeky drivers seat. tried wd40'ing the cogwheel areas and stuff but no luck

When u move off and turn the steering you tend to get a rumbling noise, kinda when ure holding the clutch above the bite and the car vibrates and RUMBLES whilst moving off. But happens in second too. any ideas on this one?

Also when im listening to music quite loud the standard door speakers tend to vibrate the whole door card quite a bit. its only the drivers one. I want to upgrade the speakers, as i find the standard ones stressing quite a lot. Any1 know what size fits exactly into the OEM speaker pods.

Thanks in advance for any help :D

Unfortunately the 9n is prone to rattles and squeeks, due to being built by albino monkeys in Spain, so unless there's any warranty left your best trying fix them yourself, I'm lucky as i've had few rattles but a search on this forum will show how many people have experienced it!

Sorry can't help with the rest but someone else might know. :D

Speakers i believe 17cm fit :)

As for the chair squeek. Mine was some sticky stuff rubbing between the chair and the seat belt buckle/clip thing (the bit that you click ya seat belt in to). Also found if the seat was down as far as possible that could cause it to squeak so i'd just raise it ever so slightly to stop it doing this.

GaryUK; I am under the impression that some of the 9N cars are made in spain and some in Slovakia (and finished in Germany, like mine). One should not blaim the workers but the people who should take care of the quality, right?

No rattles and squeeks in mine, so I shoudn´t care too much.

Tongue was firmly in cheek with the monkeys comment but I agree must be a quality control issue, either way it's a shame the standards have been allowed to drop.

Back for the door rattle 8 times, had the door seal replaced, various lubricants and rubber care products applied to seal. Latest attempt to fix it is a whole new door lock. Not picked her up yet so fingers crossed it works!!

Popped rear washer pipe taken in then not fixed so soaked boot X 2 Including a work presentation  - Now been fixed again not picked her up so fingers crossed. Plus various other issues
