the weld at the back of my rear box went on my old mk2! sounded quite interesting plus seemed to be quicker off the mark! interesting  . only thing was that the rear pipe was then resting on the body, and the clutch was a bit dodgy and when u sometime pull away the car shook, meaning that the exhaust shook and made a hell of a noise! oops

still great fun!

I'm hoping that it's not gonna be too loud...

I want something that is quiet (ish) on idle and when driving calmly, but is rorty when opened up!! My Golf is like this, but I'm thinking that the Polo is going to end up pretty loud.....

:?

Depends on what the rear silencer is like. Usually a single box system will be quite loud on a Mk 3. But saying that, sebrings are very quiet. You will soon find out when you get it fitted.

You should be able to fit the GT and G40 ones with a reducing sleeve.

The Sebring and Remus ones listed just use a reducing sleeve, so you could get one of them. Both are very good qulity exhausts too.

If not, you could get a custom made one.

cool, my bro's is a remus one which rocks, but as its only a rear box, doesn't make that much noise! plus i want a different tailpipe! i want the twin DTM with the smooth upswept look unlike my brothers which is the "out and up" look" check it out under members rides under dan's project mk5!

Yeah, Remus are very good quality. Only problem is they are quite heavy and the bad design of the Mk 3 polo mounts means it can strech the rubbers a lot.
When fitting any exhuast to a Mk 3 I would recommend fitting uprated mounting brakets.

Have you done yours yet, Rob ?

um, nope...

exhaust (as i've been promised) wll be with me tomorrow. Then my plan is to take it to powerflow and get them to weld some new ones to the car, and have them fit the rest of the exhaust... lame I know, but I just cant think what I can use to make my own damn mounts!

I'll take it to them with no rear umper as I'll have to cut that round he tailpipe once its ftted.

Hopefully, by tuesday night it will be all finished, and then I csn post your your cat!
