Just been trying to fit my BMC encountered a few queries along the way, excuse my lack of all things car knowledge! I have read the DIY guide on here btw but with lack of pics in the guide Im lost. Any pics of engine bays would be great help.
When fitting do you use the black rubber seal that was used with the original airbox to attach the 90 degree bend to the throttle body?
I seem to have a reducer of some sort but dont know where its used if someone could advise!
Also where does the mini crankcase vent filter attach to?

For the crankcase breathe filter, it attaches to the crankcase breather pipe (sounds obvious I know).
When you take the engine cover off, you're left with the air box. Looking at the air box from the front of the car, on the left (so driver side) you have the main air intake pipe. Then behind that (ie. closer to the windscreen) you have the crankcase breather pipe. This connects into the air box, as shown below:

It should disconnect from the air box, and this is what you then fit your new mini-breather to.

I used a 90 degree piece of silicone hose between the throttle body and the BMC, held on with jubilee clips where needed. The silicone hose also gives a bit of flexibility.mkone wrote:...

I used the reducer on the air intake end of the filter, as I found it was easier to route 60mm diameter ducting than 70mm.
Thanks for you help, I found out the reason why it didn't seem to sit properley was because the rubber seal between the 90 degree tube and the air flow meter was knackered.
As for the crankcase filter it doesn't seem to fit on the crankcase pipe its too big, anyone have any workarounds or should I just leave it off completely?
I took the car out after fitting for a blast and didnt really notice a massive improvement performace wise but seems to be more repsonsive, sound wise I was expecting something a bit louder as I used to have a K&N 57i kit on my 106, but with my Supersprint exhaust gives off a nice subtle tone.
