Well. I need to update the ECU to tell it I have fitted cruise control. So I needed the location of the socket.

Oh right, is this an aftermarket cruise control or a VAG system you have fitted.

Correct me if i'm wrong but if its the same as the >>01 A4 all you should need are these parts

* New Column stalk (think they're about £90)
* 6 pin adapter (about a £1)

Then its just the case of reprogramming the ecu I believe.

Interesting.
And who can reprogram the ECU, just a VAG dealer?

Is that the score with the Polo sparkstack?

Nelson : the parts came in at £65 inc Vat so your not far off there, good guess.

Mole : I have the VAG-COM software and an interface lead to a laptop. So i can do it myself. Take a look here :

Nope :(

A few other things crept up the "to do list". Plus we are having a spot of bother with VW, for info see Not Happy. Oh, and i have only just managed to secure a cheap old laptop for the software, after having to threaten police action to a guy who took my money and ran, on a dabsxchange auction i won. Hopefully the laptop from ebay will be at work when i arrive tomorrow.

So, when the VW fiasco is sorted, and i have a laptop to run the software from, and i get a bit of time to myself, i will get it done.
