A3 seats into GTI

Got my eye on a set of A3 interior.

Does anyone know or has anyone done, an A3 interior conversion?

Does it fit straight in? If not, what mods are required?

i had a mk4 golf interior to fit in my GTi but found the subframes for the golf are approx 1 1/2" too big to go in the runners... same floorpan so i imagine same problem with A3?

they could be chopped and welded/ adapted i'm sure but would def need some metalwork...
