Post by badboypolo »

not sure if this sould be in here or ice.. my car didnt start today, and it done the same last week so I put a new battery in it last week and went to start it again and nothing. But it started first time with a set of jump leads to my dads car.I have a sub and amp and my amp power light is always on even when my cd player isnt could this be draining my battery? I just bought an on off switch but dont know what to do with it.

What sort of cd player do you have?

There is an issue that on VW's you have to chop a wire on loom going into the headunit which will stop the amp being live constantly.

That's assuming you have the remote wire all connected up correctly.

my remote cable is wired to the blue and white cable on my head unit, and when my head unit is off the amp is still on , if I disconnect the remote cable from the blue and white wire the amp doesnt work.
