Hi just wondering what would be the best product to use on light scratches for my silver GTI. I have some Fast colour made my CarPlan. Has anyone used this?
Meguiars Scratch-X is what I use. You need to give it a few applications before scratched come out, but this means you don't take off any more paint than you need to.
Also the particle size gets smaller as you rub it onto the bodywork - so it starts off abrasive and then becomes quite fine, to get the best finish.
Im afraid you will recieve a varied amount of answers to this but on a serious note i would probably listen to Dino and go with the scratch-x > hes starting to turn into the uk polo detailer
i have a very light scratch on my bonnet.. barely noticeable is it worth trying to get rid of it or would using t-cut damage the paintwork too much in comparisson to the small scratch? please help me decide
I've always used Mer Car Polish, which is good for everything, including removing light scratches - does a brilliant job.
About 10 years ago it was one of these trade only type products, but nowadays you can get it in Halfords and other places. Quite expensive but lasts ages.
