9N3 CD into 9N

Hi, ive got a couple of questions. I've been given the chance of the stereo out of a 55 reg 9N3 for free, would this fit my 2003 52 reg 9N without any hassle?
also will the player play my backed up CD's?

posted this in ICE section too as it does come under both sections. Was wondering if they have different connectors, the dash shouldnt be much different tho, should it?

Yes it should be a straight swap as they are basically the same car accept for different front/rear lights. Best thing to do is put them side by side and compare the connectors on the back, they should be the same but worth checking.

What do you mean by backed up CD's? Copied CD's? Yes I've had no problems playing copied CD's hope this helps

Bear in mind it wont play MP3 burnt CD's - they have to be WMA.

Do all VW cd players play WMA files m8?

Should gone in fine, I think the ISO pin out is exactly the same. It mounts in the same way too, four slots for radio keys

Check a wiring site to confirm pin layout is the same?

My 6 CD in dash changer will only play WMA - assumed it was the same for all.

Gonna give it a try with my single slot, would be good to fit more songs on a cdr

I was gutted when i got the car and it wouldn't play any of my MP3 cd's! Got about 40 of them sitting in my room useless now.
