Post by AKs_SlickPolo »

Has any1 seen or got a picture of the 9N Dimmed tail-lights?? im looking for a sort of OEM style dark ones, but cant seem to find much?!?

or does any1 know if you can fit MK7 style ones with an wiring adaptor instead of cutting through the wiring?

Any help appreciated :)

Dimmed style is what is on the Polo GT.

Logistik did a DIY guide for fitting 9n3 lights too.

You can get a conversion loom for the 9n3 lights so you don't have to fiddle with the wires.

Maybe try VAG parts?

M7 - How did you do that? Did you just mask around it and spray something over the lights?

Never noticed them in a GT to be honest. Im not really into the 9n/3 lights to be honest, and definetely no to lexus lights.

Think ill go for these as its a nice and subtle touch to them and it stands out well in a silver 9N as this GT:

Im hoping to make my own LED units in these, as there is such a lack of decent 9N lights

halfords tint spray. i did have the whole light done. then went off them and thought why not have a gt style. so i masked round the indicator and used thinners to rub off the tinting gum off the red area's.

be very carefull what masking tape you used, mine pulled off some of the black on the OS rear light so i have a small bit missing. u dont notice though unless you know its there

Smoked rear lenses were a standard fitting on the Polo GT (9N) as were smoked side repeater lenses. Get yourself down to your nearest VW dealer and talk it through with the parts people.

If you need any advice on fitting just contact me again.
