Just got the new pads for the front brakes, anything worth noting before I fit them this weekend?
Never done it before, so any advice would be sound!
Cheers, Laurence
Mk3 Brakes...
i think halfrauds do plus gas but don't take my word for it. its well worth getting though!
i'd say make sure u put some copper slip on the back of the pads where the piston touches the pad, and where the caliper pushes the other pad. that stops them from squeeking!
and make sure everything is nice and clean, all mating surfaces are free of rust and everything should be cool!

the piston will need pushing back when you're ready to put the new pads on, basically just use something (which won't slip and damage anything) to push the piston back into the caliper, with the brake fluid resevoir lid off....then fit the new pads in with some copper grease on the connecting points on the back....then refit the disc etc and make sure you pump the brake pedal a few times before you start driving properly to make sure it's all circulated okay
hope i havn't forgot anything, i'm pretty tired so wouldn't suprise me
and as for the bumpers, use simoniz back to black, after about 3 sprays of that in about 3 days and it'll look like new
