Getting new head-unnit, but....

Hi, got more questions for yas

Was thinking of getting a new head-unit for my 03 polo, which currently has the standard factory fitted cd player in.

The CD player is the huge looking 1, with the CD in-slot at the top deck, and the eject and radio settings on the bottom.

But....I dont know about the deck i need to fit in first :S

So, what is this deck peice called? or do I just remove the 2 standard units and its whats under there, or do i need to actually buy a new deck and replace the old 1?

Would be helpful is some1 helped me out damn im a complete novice!

Hello, I think I have understood this correct,

If you take both units out and then put your own headunit in at the top your left with a space underneath.

What you need is a single DIN sized cubby hole, that just so happens I have a spare one lying around that you can have if you like (for a small fee to cover postage, say a fiver?). It slots in underneath and Bob's your uncle.
