I think i'm in LOVE

Too be honest I have not been a fan of smooth bumpers, however on yours because of the wider rims and stretched tires it carries off well.

Very nice indeed.

I love the smoothed bumpers, every time I see a GTi with them it makes me want them more - but have you noticed that nearly all of the smoothed examples are silver or red vehicles? Perhaps black is just too subtle to carry it off

Couple of questions: where did you get the work done (as they have done a top job) and is the strip across the top of your windscreen part of the original tint job, or can you get them done seperately? I want one for mine 8)

Cheers :D

that looks spot on, shame i've never seen you drivin around notts! (not the smallest of places i know) lol

As Si mentioned, ive never seen a black car with smoothed bumpers also, i think they look great and would consider it if i had the cash!

If anyone does own a black Mk5 with smoothed bumpers, get your picture up!

Looks great mate, what width are the rims up front?

Do you get any overheating problems with the plate being where it is?

Cheers guys!

I got the work done by a body shop instapleford, Notts. as he was recommended to me by the guy who deoes my wheels. the guy is one f the clubgti gang and has a sweet corrado, well into his dubs!

The front screen was from a different model polo, i had to claim on my insurance and the blokes came round to do it, took my original one out then when they when to put the old one in asked if i wanted one with a top tint! they went all the way back to base and bought me back one with a grey top tint from a diff. model.

Everyone time someone new sees the lights i get PM's and questions lol I jus got a set of clear hella LED's and then masked them off and sprayed them with tint spray... they're goin to the body sop soon and he's gonna try staining the plastic so they're a deep red!

the rims are 7.5" x 15" up front and 8" x 15" rears, i dont have any probs with heat, the lower fogs ducts air enough and the upper one feeds the top of the block well enough not to notice!

tints are getting re-done this year, gonna have the same all the way round and a bit lighter.

not gonna bother with another badge, thats a diferent one of a 9N anyway but it'll be getting smoothed off soon enough
