Hi and Lost the keys

hi grate sit given me loads of ideas for my car its a 02 1.4 sport but iv lost all the keys :oops: . was woundering if anyone new wot it might cost me to get a new key form vw thanks

I think its in the region of £60. Thats for a flip key with central locking and to get it programmed to the car.

I thought it was more than that, when I got a price for a flip key the total was about £150 :shock:

Thats only a guesstimate though, why not just ring VW parts and ask.

~£150 sounds about from a dealer around here, prob more in Essex

Local expert (legit guy) in Brum sorted two new keys( programmed ) for £78

No keys ???? u didn't buy in the pub did you ?



PS . but I did have an orig VW key + a genuine V5

na its al above bored bort the car new 3years bak. went dealers today thay wont £170 for 1 key thats cut and programed. if i wont to tho can suply them with the key and thay will cut it for me, my bro worked in audi and sed to program the key can put it in the ignition and push a butorn or somthink is this true or do i need to take it to vw cheers

You're lucky then, VW told me that they won't cut the key if I supplied it because they order it to the chassis number and it comes ready cut and programmed.

all changed today when i went bak to get it. was a difront person he sed basicly exacly that, that thay need to cut the key and i could not bring them a new 1 anymore :shock: i went mad ended up storming out after an argument :oops: lol
