Nuff said surely.
Like the guy recently trying to convince me that a/ you couldn't play MP3s without an MMX processor and b/ you can't use networking in any version of windows before XP - once a silly idea gets stuck there, it can be hard to shake it out even with a scientific demonstration.
I like the way he thought over inflating the tyres also helped... maybe good for your 0-60, til you either take a long mway trip and they blow, or you try cornering and they don't grip.
0-60 in 9 secs, reminds me of timing the 1043 at about 16 seconds and being well chuffed. Til I did it in the other direction on the same road and recorded 18 secs... and then realised my indicated 60mph was more like 57...
