Tdi Sport Computer?

Took a 1.9 TDI sport out for a test drive today. It was a 2003 (03) plate.

I thought that by 'computer' in the specs it meant it would have the centralised digital computer that I have in my golf. But it did'nt, it just had the same info but on a small readout set into the rev counter?

Is this normal and what they mean by 'computer' in the sport model polos?

I have seen a picture of a polo with this centralised computer or could that have been from an '05' spec onwards?

Not totally sure what you mean by the central one but mine (2003 Sport) is positioned on the speedo board, next to the rev counter.

I asked this question when i bought mine. The red led display is only used when satnav is specified on the car. Otherwise its the lcd display in the face of the dials.
