Sounds like a great idea, but would they fit?

what are the seats like? Is there a Recaro option as with the Golf?

The Recaro's in the MKV Golf Gti are uber sexy....droool......

*points upwards* now that is a nice style seat! sort of a retro grandad tartan feel to it.

I love the retro 'Interlagos' trim from the Mk1 Golf GTi.

Would stop me getting leather in either the Polo or Golf.

The Golf GTi seats should be nice for the money they cost

In leather they're an extra £1645

And the leather is leatherette and looks/feels crap. The demo car we drove last year had it and the standard seats are much better

The standard seats in the 9n3 Polo GTi are these:

And they are as comfortable as they look, apparently! There is a silver-grey GTi at my local dealership with 5 doors and leather (which looks great with red stitching and 'GTI' stitched into the seat backs) but I daren't sit in it in case I buy it

There is a lot more lateral support in the new seats, I'd love a pair in my 6n2 Polo! Probably cost quite a lot at the moment though...

Well no-one knows do they, the mk7 GTI hasn't been out for five minutes!

In theory, probably with customised subfranes, then yeah why not?
