New zorst plus Vids, Look!

Post by Jay's MK4, Euro Stylee! »

Hey all,

i sed on a topic a month ago that i would be avin a new zorst within the month, and bein a man of my word its done!
And man its sweet! as i sed in the post before, its a 4-2-1 manifold, decat, 1 centrebox and no backbox system with side exit!

The manifold is a Raceland one from Belgium i think and set me back just £150,

Powerflow fitted this and fabricated and fitted the rest of the system for £350 all in, not bad rele, and im well happy with the job.

Sounds sweet, not loud at all wen just cruising around, but wen u open the throttle she really grunts. no booming or droning inside with windows up either.

A deffinate improvement in performance n all, obviously its still slow as its only a 1.4 8v, but it deffo goes faster in each gear, and picks up a lot quicker.

There is however a downside, fuel economy, i put a tenner in str8 after avin zorst fitted, and would say that i av drivin my car for about a total of 2hours since, and my tank is now empty!

cheers dude, im more than happy with the sound.

And yeh, i guess the fact that i pretty much had me right foot nailed the floor for the 2 hours explains the fuel consumption, problem is that sound is so addictive that you cant help but boot it, so it is the zorst that leads to poor economy :D

polo boi yeah thats the filter, its a ramair one, u can see it in the second pic.

im kinda in the process of maiking up the piping to take it out just behind the front grill, in the space between the grill and that plastic thing that holds the rad. cuz at the mo it just suckin in boiling hot air!

lol, that wont help ur fuel consumption, as more air is bein sucked through the throttle body, but defintly gives the extra note :)
