hahaha

The ban was only from msn as thats where I seemed to spend most of my net time.

However, after a bad week at work I just had to log on and moan to someone about it! So no it didn't work

You're never finally finished.

Get in the car, sit down and cast your gaze around the cabin. I'm sure you'll think of something to do....

Oi, Nellie

Like the car, like the colour  like the exhaust but not the way it is positioned, it'd look much better if you cut out a profile in the rear valance and reposition the exhaust like on the 4motion Golf.

Then it'd look more OEM which we all know is your style.

chrome grille

Post by tdisport »

where did you get the chrome grille. looks really good against the dark blue (same colour as mine).

do you find you have to keep washing the car to keep it nice blue.
i dont like the dark blue, only the lighter (deep) blue that shines through when its clean and sun is shining on it!!

There's a write-up on the chrome grille here:

Of course, it looks even better on black

This is something I'll be attending to when I get the time, its not 100% straight and really bugs me because it looks a bit Nova'ish
Also, the backbox is adjusted as high as it will go, I'm going to see if anyone can provide me with a new rubber for the hanger as its REALLY stretched at the moment. I do agree with you though, I've seen a few 4motions about and kinda wished mine was positioned like that :(

The Chrome grille came from VW and is from the German 'Highline' models.

I wash my car almost religiously every week, but when I do its a 'proper' clean (i.e. not just over with a sponge). I polish it once every two months and use nothing other than Audi Wash and Wax and Audi Polishing Wax which are both made by Quantum. This is then followed once every two weeks by Zymol Wax finisher.
I suppose my car proves that you don't need to spend £100's to keep your car looking good (though I suppose it helps!)

I have no idea how mines developed a deeper/darker shine to other indigo blues. It's been resprayed under warranty by my Dad (he owns a VAG approved bodyshop) so I suppose he did a an extra special job.
But either way I like it! :)
