I Have a particular way of washing my car I only use 2 buckets of water and 1 bucket of car shampoo water, always have used this method as i have no tap in the front of me house and my hose is not long enougth.CymruPolo wrote:Good stuff. How long did that take you?
First I use a watering can with warm water and pour on panels and brush away with my hand, this takes off most of the dirt and some harden dirt. I do this to prevent swirls.
Next wash car with car meguiars sampoo, rinse off with watering can. Next step chamois the car down.
Then I will use step 1 of meguiars system takes out light swirls and scrathes.
Then use the wax, which goes on like butter leave for 5-10 mins, while this is drying i wash me wheels.
I then buff the car, and use back to black on my grill, mirrors lower fog grill and lower spoiler. Also use on wipers, aerial, scuttle planel below front screen and also on my windows surronds.
I dry off me wheels the wax those. Still not finished LOL I will now clean the windows with rain away glass cleaner. Once clean I apply rain away on all screens.
Then hover the interior and clean the dash and am done...........
The whole thing on my own takes me 3-4hrs.........
Im crazy I knw but the finish product is worth it hehe
PS I used the wax on my light you see how they gleam I have used a number of products such as autoglym, turtle wax, meguiars and many others.
But harly wax is the best wax I have ever used its wonderful stuff.
I have never used a clay bar thinking of trying this out....

You really should.Reeyad wrote: I have never used a clay bar thinking of trying this out....
Yes the wax gives a good finish, but you will be amazed what a difference the clay bar makes.
Most people tend to get the Meguairs one as it is readily available. I have used this, but prefer the Swissol one, as it is easier to use and there is less chance of leaving marks on the bodywork when using it.
Good choice on the harly wax, I have not used it but heard it is a quality product.

Re: Harly wax
No wax will cover up swirls, only a glaze with hide swirls partially.1 GTI wrote:Does the harly wax cover up the swirls on the paintwork? I've got diamond brite polish from work, and the shine it gives off is amazing. But it only seals the paint to stop corrosion
