Engine Transplant

Hi,

I've got someone wanting to know how to take the engine from a G reg G40 and put it in to a P reg Polo which currently has a 1.6 8 valve engine in it.

He has got everything from both cars...will everything (engine, ecu, loom etc) fit straight in or will there be chassis work involved?

What sort of implications are they likely to run into?

Gearbox wise they he wants to use the 1.6 gearbox from the P reg Polo...will this work?

not sure on the ins and outs of the conversion, but i seem to remember oli's on clubpolo needed a fair bit of wiring to join the mk3 loom onto the mk4's
