how often should your spark plugs be changed in the gti?

Just been flicking through my serivce book and looks like they have never been changed since the car was new!!

So, took them out and replaced them but accidently broke one of the HT leads! BUGGER!

Old plugs look seriously used n abused!

By the way my cars on 47,000 miles.

Pretty sure they should be changed every 40k, mines were changed on the 40k service.
