Bought one of these from a company in Tewksbury for about £75 and fitted it today. Not a bad bit of kit as you don't have to drill any holes for sensors, it has a metal tape that you stick inside the bumper cover. Anyone else got one of these fitted to their car.
Ive also fitted a votex rear sunblind which I got from ebay.
Yep it works fine (haven't "tapped" bumpers yet!).
I found that it needed adjusting and the tape needed shortening as it was going off too early and when getting close to the kerb. My car has a factory towbar so I had to be careful about where the tape was fitted, trying to keep it at 90deg to the road but away from the towbar beam.
It was easy to fit, the rear bumper cover needs to come off which is quite easy after removing the rear lights and some torx screws. Then its a case of mounting the unit and wiring it into the reversing light circuit and an earth point.
The blind was easy to fit, two screws through the shelf and two clips that clip onto the trim at the top of the hatchback opening. I find it handy at this time of year to help filter out car headlights behind you..
Ok, let me get this right...you had to take off the rear lights and the plastic bumber to stick the sensor tape onto the plastic bumper ?
Thanks for the info on sunblind -- I could have done with it just now cos some BMW 3 series pratt was right up my ass for 3 miles with some modded angels eyes that seemed more like full beams
I think I'll get the blinds now
BTW, where does the blind end up when it is NOT extended from it's roller ? On the parcel shelf I assume ?
Sorry .. the tape sticks to the inside of the bumper. The blind sits inside its casing on the shelf its pretty unobtrusive, it filters out some of the light but not all.

vwpolo16v word of advice, if someone is driving right up ur a$$ then either slow down to annoy them or put ur fog light on. i normally just slow down a bit and annoy them even more and just stare at them in my rear view mirror. obviously i look at the road to tho. in the end if they dont back of or over take it means it'll take them longer to get to where they wanna go. means it takes me longer but that dont bother me. im never in a rush n e way. it annoys them and gets u the last laugh......... works for me.
