is it possible to get the polo gti headlamps with the xenon bulbs, and fit them to the 1.4 8v match? any ideas?

Yes you could, however it would be cheaper to get a hid kit from ebay for like £100

GTi headlights retail for about £400 each, so I'd just go with the HID kit mate :D

Sounds like a good plan, as long as you don't actually go as far as actually putting GTi badges on your 1.4 :P

Actually there has been a hell of alot of debate on this and to get the correct info you need to search for Dino's post on him fitting xenons to his 9n - well done to dino for all his efforts/research on this one as it has been very useful and hopefully looking into a HID kit myself shortly :D

Tecnically, yes. However i have spoke to many people with aftermarket xenons, they have passed MOT's, even asked police offices and they said it was fine.
