my fiancee is thinking about possibly a mkVI polo. Now shes as mad about cars as me, if not more. What are the 100bhp ones like??? any good??

Had 1 while the gti was gettin fixed the tdi sport 100bhp..Wow a was shocked at how quick it is..an the fuel needle didnt move at all lol

Well yes they are quick especially between the 30-50, 50-70, 70+ range, as a comparison they are much quicker than a Golf GTi and in gear times are marginally slower than the Golf TDI 130 and I'm talking 0.5 second here.

The torque is 177lb's and this can be easily upgraded (Amd quote) mod chip +25bhp +25lb +3-5mpg. Torque is what pulls this car along so you can imagine what it'll go like once chipped, it's fantastic on the motorway. The only problem is traction in the wet, you really do need ESP especially if you chip the car.

Yes MPG is pretty good, £28 to fill up and I've had 370miles out of it.

torque wins races :wink:
the higher the torque the more the chance of spinning
diesels always produce more torque due to the compression being roughly double
another way of seing this is that an articulated wagin cab can do a 0-60 in about 8-9 sec with a good driver as they spin like nuttin else when unladen
