Clicking noise when depressing clutch?

Ive noticed a clicking noise when depressing the clutch and when bring it back up. Ive had it for ages but never worried until someone told me it may be the clutch

Mines only done 30,000 miles now and the clutch is not worn at all, still drives and gearchanges are perfect with no crunching whatsoever. Ive got no operational problems at all. Just this noise. However I've only heard it when depressing the clutch with the engine switched off.

Does anyone else here this noise in there 9n or is it completely noise free?

Yeah mine makes a squeeking like noise when you press the clutch down and when you bring it back up. Scared me at first but just put it down to a "Volkswagen Noise"

Helo there..

Not sure if this helps, but I've had this problem twice now. Does the pedal feel a bit rough also? Like its a bit "rippley"... if you get what I mean? And does this only happen when the engine has warmed up?

If so, it should be the clutch release bearing. As I said, twice it has happened to me, both times, took it down to the dealer and it was a case of a warranty jobby. Although the second time (about 6 months later) got the engineer a bit miffed, so much so he replaced my master cylinder, or so they claim and took my gearbox apart, only discover that it was the same problem and so another clutch release bearing sorted that out.

The second time was in June of this year, so fingers crossed, cos my warranty runs out in about a years time..

Hope this helps!
