# 11892 !

That's surely more people "for" than are vocally "against" already!

(edit: up to 11978 in the time taken for me to get thru to the full list... be over 12500 in no time!)
(edit: in the words of another signatory - hammond's recovery shows us that speed doesn't kill... or, "why not ban going out after dark, or crossing the road, also?")

If it doesn't look like it's going anywhere in the next two weeks, I volunteer to be the one to pass them the site address in an email or letter.

Not going to be the one to print them all off though! That's easily 200+ pages right there! Up over 21,000 now, good god, there's cable channels that would kill for that kind of viewing figure!

(my second email ID is 21152 or somesuch... thanks to the pub conversation being very much centred around this issue last night (and clarkson's sunday paper column) I had a flash of inspiration I thought needed recording - Top Gear isn't a car magazine show, it's a character-driven SitCom that just happens to have a few sportscars in it. Jezza, James and Dick would be a solid comedy trio in any situation)

I signed a couple of weeks ago and it was around about 10,000 the fact that it has passed 50,000 in a week is testement to its popualrity.
