Good garages

Post by ticki »

Does anybody think that general purpose garages really know what they are doing when it comes to your VW Polo. Or does everybody prefer to pay more at a VW specialist or main dealer?

personally i would rather pay more and see a vw specialist - just because it gives me more confidence in them knowing what they are doing, because they are more likely to have done work on a polo gti in the past. The specialist who i go to services about 6 polo gti's in my area. Infact one was outside when i called in the other week (a rare sight, considering there were only 3000 polo gti's sent into this country).

vdub stealers can be just as bad as normal garages - sometimes even worse as they know all the short cuts!

Just my opinion but i 'reckon your best bet is it to use one thats been recommended by a pal - vw or otherwise. Luckily my mate owns his own garage......such a weight off my mind i tell ya (after all those probs with my pedal box!!)
