... what a Polo GTi would look like with BBS Solitudes fitted!

And I'm glad I didn't go down that route in the end as the way it looks on this silver example doesn't appeal to me at all :o :?

Agreed.

They look good on Mk4 16valvers, but for some reason just don't seem quite right on a Mk5 GTi.

They don't suit it at all.

I can't help wondering though why the dealer/factory would offer BBS Solitudes as an Optional Extra or more to the point, why anyone would want them over the RXII's.

What, volkswagen offered solitudes as an added extra over the RXII's??

That is pretty daft! They dont suit it. The mk5 is too chunky looking for them.

Do look good on mk4's tho

the style of them make it suddenly look like a 6n rather than a 6n2

AFAIK the Solitudes were only offered as an optional upgrade on the mk4 6n Polo 16v, and certainly not for the mk5 (thankfully!).

Like I say, I can't see them being offered as an extra for the GTi if they're MK4 wheels.

The same with the Bose Speakers from an Audi TT, there's no chance they'd do that surely.

Different wheels suit different cars. For example BBS are for VW's and OZ's are for Fords
