mk4 lazy electric windows

having problems with my electric windows.the both go down fine but are really slow going up.the passenger one stops half way up and the drivers one stops about two inches from the top.i have to help them the rest of the way buy pushing them up lightly.any ideas on how to sort them out?

alrite chap try some silicone spray on the window rubbers that should help it did the trick for mine.

its a really common problem. the only way to properly cure it, is buying a new motor.

just wondered if there was a cheap quick fix really.so are we talking about spraying the bottom rubbers only,inside and out and what spay do you suggest,thanks

put the window down and spray some silcone spray on them worked well on mine.

tried it on both today and sorted the drivers side out.the passenger side is better but still not perfect,will give it another go tomorrow,cheers
