I will have to live without my 6 CD changer though unless I find somewhere else to mount it or sell it and get a boot changer. Not made up my mind yet.
Yeah it has arrows and a womans (horny) voice cuts in over the radio or CD.
I've been searching ebay for the last few months and this one came up last week, was £175 which I thought was quite reasonable especially as it came with the cd and gps antenna.
The MFD does look alot better but the MCD is a lot more subtle and just looks like a double din radio to the untrained eye so a bit less attractive to a thief.
The 6 CD won't fit in the glovebox but below the seat could be an option, will look into it in the new year. Thanks jrw for the website suggestion though. I would like to keep the changer as having the nav disc in all the time would be better.
Today I have sourced some removal keys off ebay as the dealer won't sell them to me seperately, can't get it out at the moment having realised the left rear speakers have stopped working!
No Probs Gary. It was the only site I could find that did the leads for the in-dash (the small blue connector). I wanted to keep the in-dash in mine because the boot mounted one is rubbish in comparison, it takes ages to change discs and doesn't buffer the music so you get a epic delay when it finishes one cd and goes on to play the next.
Thanks for that, didn't realise the boot changer was a bit slower.
I know you can get a bracket for the in dash changer so I think under the seat is going to be the next challenge. Shouldn't be too difficult hopefully.
Thats right although I made my own mount for the glovebox:
(i've put the piece of carpet on the missing bit now!!)
This is the connector:
Think you will need the longer on as you would have to run it across from the back of the nav, across the dash, down, across the carpet to the back of the seat and then along the runners to the back of the changer!
