number plate recess on boot

rite first things first, today seemed like a gd day to take the lettering off me boot, all went well thanks to a guide off here then wen i was washing the boot i decided it would be a crackin idea to take me number plate off and get rid of the blak tingy behind it, well both the screws snapped

so heres wot im asking,

1. how easy is it to fill myself if anybody has done it
2. how much wil it cost to get a profesional to do
3.is it legal to get another plate made wit my name or polo on and put into the recess, i have got my original num.plate on me bumper now

sorry its so long guys but thats as short as i can make it . any help would be great tank you

ok you can do it the pikey way and use body filler but it will sink and look cack in about 2 months time when th epint flakes off

or if you can weld you can do it properly.

you cut a plate teh same size as the recess and weld that in grind the welds smooth and then smooth over with filler to make it flat and any bumps good. then spray. same with the VW logo if you want to smooth that over. just pop it out wack a metal plate in and smooth that over.

dont forget you need numberplate lights.
