Help with concertina sunroof

Hope this doesn't sound ridiculous but here goes..... I have seen a really good vw polo 1996 1.4CL 'open air' which I was interested in buying ...but.... it has a leaking full length folding sunroof. I was very disappointed, I have searched the net to find out where and how much it would cost to repair, can't find anything.

Is this car worth considering? it has done 48,000, good service history and very well kept, Â£1995 asking price ( wanted to get them to drop to Â£1695, that was before the sunroof issue).

Hope some can help.

I remember someone saying a new openair roof is Â£400 + from VW

Also a '96 Polo is quite an early Mk4 as the came out in '95, so pricewise bear that in mind.

A leaking roof is never a good thing but also consider how much it has been leaking and other damage to upholstery and electrics etc.

thanx, issue has been resolved decided not worth the hassle and money out lay, shame cos car itself was really good.........still lookin.
