david burton's 9N WIP thread - for sale
So.....
bought a 3dr Polo TDI Sport today! December 03, 11k miles. Untouched, last serviced at 9k, tax and MOT, warranty, spotless bar a couple of lacquer scratches that'll G3 out.....
Paid 7600 for it, which I think seems reasonable.
Plenty of plans that will be carried out in the next 6 months.

yeah I wasn't so sure about the mileage - because it's probably short shopping trip miles. Either way though it's probably not much wear in all honesty, for a 1.9 engine! and I'm putting 25k on per year, so it gives me a bit of head room.
got to wait for my savings to transfer, then pick it up (fri/sat)
it's silver which isn't so great, but with the right mods I think it'll pull it off - silver can look good if done right! LOL.

got the votex kit...
got the wheels....
just ordered the springs.... from RimStyle. FK Highsports.
things left to do:
1) get spare bump strips and sand them ready for painting
2) fit everything!

lol, things is that I'd planned to do this to the car about 2 months before finding the right one
I actually got the kit about a month ago, and picked the wheels up the same day as the car (coincedence).
took a while to find the right springsa at the right price, and the rest should be fairly easy to do.
lots of speedbumps on the way to work so won't go stupidly low. will lower it more for car events, and prob keep it about 40-50mm normally?

bought these refurbed TT comps for it, and some FK highsports
one wheel has a kerb mark on it, so spent 30 mins the other night just tidying it up.
sanded and dremel-ed down (yes it's shiny but there's not much I can do, and the camera makes it look worse!)
laquered up, not bad for a few mins work, and this is the only mark on the 4 wheels:
so, next job is to find some VW door mouldings and sand them down, then taken the votex kit to be sprayed at a local bodyshop.
