Yeh, i have loads of books on DSLR shooting that i am slowly making my way through.Bryony84 wrote:Chris - I have a Nikon DSLR and the first thing I would say is that the kit lens will not deliver particularly exciting shots - they are cheap for a reason. When I bought mine I was advised against the standard 18-55 kit lens and went for the 18-135 lens instead. It is noticeably heavier and feels much better quality and the results are definitely better/sharper than my old nikon + kit lens.
The problem with DSLR's is that you have to learn a lot of theory to get sucessful shots. Your camera will take any shot that you want it to, you just have to know how to set it up. I suggest a lot of reading - books/magasines etc!
I'm sure I remember Doug taking some pics of Dino's car at the camp site at Inters last year at night and they were pretty quality. A couple of other people were trying and were getting nowhere near as good results, although they didn't have DSLRsDanDiesel wrote:how many lenses did u buy? and what ones? coz my bro has got an EOS 350D and hes said he's struggles with night shots but i think he was getting the hang of them at E38!
