Just vapour from the head. Don't worry unless there's a lot of it. Though without knowing the full story of your problem, it's hard to say.

from the bottom of the engine? that sounds like the block breather , prob puffing out a few fumes due to to wear

i got some rubber hose and a elbow and routed it to free air under the car, that way the carb breathes clean fresh air , dont forget to block off the hole in the filter if you do that

Breather re routed

Post by polowebasto »

i have re routed the breather down to where the fuel lines come up from underneanth. This dose not mean valve seals or piston rings then.
i brought the car for £30 a year or two ago and have spent £40 on plugs and servicing it also outer cv boots and anti rool bar bushes. i have welded the o/s/r bottom valence a bit on the o/s sill and the rear of the spare wheel well. Ii have to do some small spots of rust on the bottom of the windscreen After the mot. i also mended the fuel tank with some resin from halfords. the car has a full size slide back webasto sunroof is this rare or just an after market fitment or standard on some trim or modles. Thanks for the help. David.
