9n 195/45/16

Hi guys. Want to get some 16's. Was just wondering what the perfect tyre would be. Seen a set of 195/45/16, would these be ok to go stright on my 9N or do you suggest any different? Thanks

it all depends on the width of the rim. there are suitable tyres for certain rims depending on what width they are.
if you want a good fitting tyre for a 7" rim, i'd suggest a 195/45
if you want a stretch on the tyre if you have an 8 or 9" rim then you start to down size abit. i've seen 195/45s on 9" rims, which create a mad stretch.
just all depends what look you want and what rim you have

The Monty II's i have fitted are 7.5" wide i think and im running 205/45/R16's.

The rims I am looking to buy are the Montreal II's like Dino's. There available on 195/45/16 tyres. What do you reckon? By the way has anyone on here got any to sell, I would be interested, PM if you know anyone who has.

on a 7.5" rim a 195/45 or a 205/45 would be fine in my opinion

So basically either of the two will do? one isnt preffered over the other or anything like that? Do you think Â£250 is worth a set of Monty II in semi mid condition with Continental tyres with 5mm remaining?

what tyres are they? edit - contis I see - spot on!

sounds good to me. personally I'd go for 205's as I think they are closer to the original circumference, but I could be speaking rubbish. 195's would be fine.

175/60 R14
195/50 R15
205/45 R16

It should be ok. If You buy wrong size You will have a problems with speedometer.

i wouldnt use that as a guide though as the rim width is the important thing here
my new rims are going to be 9j on the rears, in theory i'd be needing a 235 or even a 245 on the rear and its still only 16" in diameter....but im going to be stretching a thinner tyre over it

it is no problem about rear rims I wrote about front. here u have calculator - left side are series tyre right are new
