I was talking to myself today about how cool the 9n would look on TT competition alloys, then i see this hot motor!

Yeah i agree. Especially that these ones are polished. Polished alloys are the way to go for lighter coloured 9ns. and in fact darker coloured 9ns. actually all Polos.You know what why dont we just all get some nice polished alloys

They were on the old 1400, and suspension was standard. This year the TDI will have FK coilovers before the wheels go on![/url]

I'm with Clawz on this one.
I have noticed that polished alloys look best on cars where there are large areas of flat body like in on the side of the Ibiza and runnig along the length on the Polo.( e,g the MR2 does's have this) It is the way the mind works in that it seems to us like the smoothness of the body panels are continued in the wheels thats why Polo-03's car looks good. Its a visual massage for blokes (and girls) who like a consistant smoothness about everything.(take that how u will)
Another thing needed for the "consistant smoothnes" to work is that the bumper strips have to be body coloured for this "look". Imagine Polo-03 with plastic black bumper strips along its doors.
As for Claws, I think he is onto somthing there. We can have like a Union of Polo Drivers with opinions and views that would allow us to buy cheaply as a group. Hang on we do have a sort of union (the forum) so come on lets get buying lads and ladies

If you were going for the smooth look then it would be a good idea to colour code them. Nothing wrong with them from what i can see.
Back when the 206 came out i thought it was such a nice looking car but the black bumper strips stuck out. It took Peugeot from 1997 to 2002 to introduce body coloured bumper strips. They did this to boost sales and get rid of excess body shells ready for the 207. I remember when I did my friends' bumper strips on her 206. It took me 2 days but when it was all colour coded up it looked much better. The 9n has less "in your face" strips that are nice whether they are painted or not but you could to them yourself and add that little bit more character to the car. I did. It's cheap but not easy.
From the factory the colour pack is a £75 option but a lot more if you were to buy them from VW and have them fit it after.

Anyone who puts 19" on a New Polo is a fool.
