Very good points there CymruPolo :)

You've got to love Oasis and the other 90's britpop really. Well at least at my age, big part of the music I listened to growing up (I'm 22 btw).

Toxicity? Ok its a good album man but come on... theres thousands of times better albums out then that! By system themselves even. their self titled debut was better then that.

Id probably argue the best album ever made for me personally was Korns first album. If it wasnt for that record i probably wouldnt have gotten through being young (i can relate to alot of s**t that goes on on that record, just not the rape lol).

Still musically and artistically its not a phenomenal piece. So i would now in this context be leaning towards nine inch nails or deftones.

The fragile by nine inch nails is phenomenal and white pony by deftones is cream your pants kool.

So id actually say white pony holds the title for me. Just cause it rocks so hard!

I don't think I can name one album for all time.

Of recent years I would suggest The Killers - Hot Fuss, Athlete - Vehicles & Animals, Feeder - Echo Park also Bloc Party - Silent Alarm. Its far too difficult to choose.

In recent months I've been listening to alot of The Fratellis - Costello Music.

Looks like this could turn into a 'favourite album at the moment' thread :?

The Verve - Urban Hymns.

Almost a decade old, and it still spends far too much time in my autochanger. Not that I owned a CD-changer ten years ago, or could even drive for that matter, but you get the idea.

hey Korn did change the face of metal back in the day. If it wasnt for korn chances are you would have never had any of the biggest rock names about at the moment. Like linkin park and papa roach as examples. Both hail Korn as massive influences. They broke the scene and paved the way for "nu-metal". essentially they helped create the genre.

Id say they were actually oen of the largest impacting bands of the 90's lol. Just cause isnt wasnt on the poop scene doesnt mean it wasnt influential.
im not saying oasis werent good ocne upon a time. They have their classics. I just find their music repetitive and generic nowadays. Much like every band out at the moment from the brit pop scene. Might be one or two tracks that stand out occasionally. But the way i see it theyre all just doing what feeder and oasis have been doing for years. And im bored of that im afraid lol.

Off course though its down to everyones personal opinions and such. Im just very opinionated in music lol.

Mesmerize best album? ive shat my pantrs in disgust sir lol. No in all seriousness it was a good album i just didnt think it was their best.

They might be splitting up btw. Mate of mine is from LA and his mate across the big lake is a leading member of one of the charities soad are involved in.

Serj and Darren are having arguements over vocals apprently. This was a few months back he told me so maybe its cleared up now.

Lets hope so. Good band.

arctic monkeys are pants :P
