Regassing the aircon

Post by MaxZ »

Sorry to be bothering all of you with niggles, feel like such a noob :P
The climate control seems to be chilling, just not that coldly, don't know if it's just a case of me being paranoid. Can only VW regas the climate control, or can I take it to any air conditioning specialist shop. Also roughly how much are such expenses.
Thanks, Max

Think you'll be able to find it for less than £100...places other than a VW dealer should have no problem in doing it.

£50 is what you should be paying. I was £100 at a specialist - unfortunately I found out the cost after they had done it. What was bad was I had to get the air con regassed again after my accident 2 months later

My uncle's garage is in Park Royal if thats anywhere near you?

I think he charges £75. And that is to re-gas it fully.

All those people who say that they get it done for less. Do they really know how much has been re-gassed?

That seems to be quite a distance away, I might just give KwikFit a try as there's one very near me
