Hi all,

Should the gearbox be quite loose or should it be relatively tight? (ie. does it wear badly).

I'm noticing a graunching noise when engaging the clutch to change gear, yet I haven't once experienced any clutch slippage whilst in gear. Any ideas what this could be? (it doesn't happen every single time, but perhaps on average every 3rd time).

Car is 2000(W) and has 61k on the clock with a FVWSH. (It's actually the Doris's motor). Pedal box was done about 10k ago.

Mines slightly sloppy also.. been told its normal, though you can have the pedal box re-aligned if your having trouble getting it into gear, which maybe the crunching noise..
