Silly Armrest
Silly Armrest
Hey guys,
Bought an armrest off vagteam1 off ebay, and saw a few other people using the same style arm rest. I've now 'fitted' it, but its really wobbly.. Am I not using the screws properly at the back of the armrest? I just simply screwed them into the carpet as they were selftapping..
Anyone had experience with this?
Cheers

I used alot of wood and alot of glue trying to make it stronger but the plastic is really cheap and brittle so it breaks really easily.
The only remaining method i could see working was too complicated as it meant messing with the seat runners and stuff.
I was going to look into getting a plastics place to remake the base with a better quality plastic and to add extra mounts in. I dont think it would be feasable though.

With regards to the screws, i wouldnt screw anything into the floor of my car! u never know whats underneath it, how much load that bit of metal is taking
Just gotta go and install a printer for someone so will explain my theory in a min
