Post by neale »

Right im currently lookin to replace my standard gti wipers and fancy some of aero wipers you see on newer models of cars, so wondering if there is any company ie, bosch that do them for 6n2 gti out there and also where did some of the users on here get theirs from as im seeing a few on here with them

Any help welcome

I brought some from wiperblades.co.uk. They are Bosch and wipe very well and look quite neat too. Check the pics

Plus forgot to add they where around £26 I think and they are easy to fit as they simply clip on.

You want the ones called 'Aerotwin Retrofit FLAT WIPER BLADE UPGRADE TWIN PACK 2 x 475mm'

If from the home page you use the drop down box you want to shoose

VW>Polo>2000 then they'll be on the page that comes up then :D

It's best to choose 2000 as the year otherwise it does it as a 9N.

I found that out after I picked 2001 because that's when mine was registered.

Alun (cymru_polo) used a polo estate rear wiper which is pretty cool, if your not into that i'm sure the later polos arms wud fit fine, just do a bit of research or take a look nxt you see one!!! OR,, remove it! I have and never looked back, never had any problems with leaking or the visability being too poor (and mines tinted!), just keep it clean 8)

vagparts.co.uk do a complete front kit which includes new arms for about £60 and i think if you buy the rear one for the 9N it fits if you cut the blade to size but i wouldnt quote me on that just yet. also vw now do genuine aero wiper blade upgrades to go on the existing arms but im not sure of the price ill find out.
