Best component set you get your hands on for the front. 10"/12" sub (or two 8"s what ever you facny!) in the back, and a phat amp/s to power em!!!

atm I've got alpine type R components in teh front, type R coxials in the back all running off a 4 channel alpine amp, alpnie HU with ipod adaptor and a sony 12" sub and amp, all stealthed out so in original door cards casing, the two amps sit on the back bench. I wouldn't go anyway near 6X9s IMO

i'll show you mine before tom gives you a looker of his beast of a sub:

Image

Fitted in my old polo by my bro, professionally built with 2 competition 10" subs only 400w RMS each, powered by a 1000w amp. But its got great compression, i dont need anything louder & sound quality rocks!

I've got phoenix gold components up the front worth around £250 & this head unit:

didnt think boot build would fit but i gave it a kick and it clicked right in hehe

i also fitted two 12" vibe subs 2000w each powered by a 4000w vibe amp, system cost over £2000 for just the subs and amp, but to put it bluntly i got it removed a week later, partly because I was going deaf but also because it actually made me feel sick when I turned them on...and i'm one of those people who keeps turning things up until I cant no more...

The thing that made me laugh is it wasnt an indoor system, it sounded like my current setup outside of the car! everything shaked including my eyes and I couldnt hear a word someone was shouting at me from the passenger seat, when you spoke you could feel your throat vibrating!

Prefer my system as it is to be honest, it picks up all ranges well & fairly equally, whereas the vibes didnt..so you can enjoy music

but I suppose its whatever floats your boat! good luck dude

stick with 12" then, so you get the best of both worlds, nice kick & plenty of rumble!

i'll have to ask my mate,it was his kit and he was trying to flog it to me..I believe he travelled to london to get it new but to be honest the internet is usally your best bet for pricing. Just find the model you want and search it..probably find it on ebay no doubt for next to peanuts!

i tell a lie it was 3000w peak on each sub, the space II in 12's x 2 - devastating bass! not sure which amp but it was as long as the boot!

http://www.vibeaudio.co.uk/index.asp?pa ... eii-h.html

it had a remote to the front of the car, basically just a dial & a red digi display to adjust bass as far as i remember
