questions about the gti

hi guys, i need a bit of help! i've had my car lowered & have been scraping the crap out part of the bottom of the car, if you look straight under the front splitter its located nearer to the passenger side but quite central, naturally it is the closest thing to the ground on the front of the car! its a rectangular shape circled below:

in the second pic you can see the stuff that looks like its seaping through!

now i can't see what it is as i have a plastic cover over the bottom of the engine, but it looks like something is leaking....i'm worried its my sump or my gearbox, please help!

I would jack it up and take the under tray off and check for the leak, could be the gearlinkage oil seal is failing this is a very common fault on the Polos box only way to tell though is to have a good poke about under the car.
