Fitting GTI Splitter

Post by Mouse_GTI »

Hey guys, in the middle of putting my new bumper and splitter on. The new splitter is a b***h to get on. We checked the old one and its a mega tight fit, once undoing some of the clips the end of the splitter was about 10cm away from where it was originally. Any pointers?

Get a hammer and a cloth and bash it in with force. Took me a good half hour to get a good fit

hehe it's really easy if you have a rubber mallet, i just got the first clip in the worked them round, by the other side it seemed like it was about 2 inches too short but i just went along tapping it with a rubber mallet and it fit like a glove

I'd agree with the hitting it! Got my bf and his brute force to finish off mine for me as I was too wussy!
