My Mk4

Post by Josh_polo »

Firstly i baught this car to save it & as a project car!

I used to own a mk2 polo but blew up the gearbox.
Anyways, i found this up for £750 managed to get him down to £625 8)

Here is how i baught it!

P reg
86k miles
1 L
17" boss alloys
1.4/1.6 interior
clear indicators

now for the real fun

Lexus rear lights!
M3 mirrors!
Body kit!
Cheap meshed vents!
3 tone paint  burple,grey & cream!
M3 side skirts

Plans are -

Whole new aint job (gunmetal/metalic grey & black roof)
14" chrome schmidt th-lines
16v smoothed front bumper
coilovers
diffrent skirts
6n2 all red rear lights
Front lights like the one on the black car as you enter this forum

I've already removed the rear wiper so the back is all smooth, baught a new 4" back box as the current one is s**t!

It came with a half built boot build, im really into my sounds so im going to continue with this ( smoothing screw holes and paint)

So far so good. The paint job is a bit horrifying atm agreed! But the plans sound rather good - gunmetal is an excellent choice :D

Im 50/50 on that atm as i really like the rear (aprat from the bottoms vents) its very chunky and smooth. 8)

Could someone post a pic of a 16v smooth bumper?

I can see that has a lot of potential. I reckon smoked lights would look better to be honest. And 16 valve bumpers are nice. But once thats lowered i can see it being mint..keep us posted man i can see this going far lol

Hey mate, you know with removing the sideskirts, isit going to leave a hole in the original sideskirt panels? Or are you going to leave them on when u put on the 16v bumpers? Coz i want 16v bumpers but im not sure if theyll line up with the skirts i got (which im sure are the ones you've got).

Haha, god that reminds me of what mines used to look like!!!

I dont like any of it but i think the rear bumper is saveable! Fully smooth and get a hidden exhaust! Would look VERY euro

good luck bud, but your gonna have to chuck a shedload of money at this thing to make it respectable lol

I still want an exhaust to make a noise (not loud, but not standard at the same time) how would i go about hiding it but still have the noise?move the back box towards the front more?
