Anyone know this motor....

Posted on a local forum here, suggestions seem to point to it being a G40 8v motor fitted with a 16v Polo head and a regular 16v intake manifold thats been modified to fit.

Anyone have any info as to what this motor is and perhaps some links to some tech details ?

oh my, that is a mix match of bits and bobs

looks like a mk2 engine bay, with what appears to be, as you say, a polo 16v head, but surely it'd be a 1.4 16v head, the gti head would be too big for a 1.3??

and as for the pipework, its got a supercharger of some kind with intercooler and boost return all fitted in. impressive bit of work to get that sorted. and the 16v inlet manifold is an unusual bit of kit.

i wonder how well that thing goes
