tracking/camber settings

will be fitting a suspension kit to my gti soon, anyone know what the track/camber should be also i will need the headlights sorting as they need adjusted some how

You will need to have your headlights adjusted, yes. Get it done at your local dealership as it requires the VAG-COM or equivalent to reprogram the levels. Will cost anything from £0 - £30.

As for tracking and camber, both must be done after lowering without fail, as both will be out. I don't know the exact values you will need for these though, just that you will need to do it. I took mine to a garage and had it done.

Camber and tracking should cost around 40-60

As Si said, theres loadsa info floating about

are you sure you need vag com to adjust your headlights?

i found a screw in the back of the headlight unit which you can just turn to aim them up or down :?

the screw wont actualy adjust them...you need to get it plugged in but its only a 2minute job, alex did mine the other day

yeh they'll just reset themselves after a while.


I need mine adjusting and havnt even got it lowered, just getting the time to go dwn the dealers

i adjusted mine on the screws and they've stayed the same and not reset themselves and that was a while back!

i went to vw monday to get them to look and my offside light cause the adjusters missing and they said i need a new light cause they cant supply just the adjuster screws :( its a bit low but its not 270 quid low is what i told them!
