Creaking suspension (again, I know...), but please help!

Hello all..
I've got a 1.2 64PS Twist with suspension that creaks when going over speed humps. The sound only comes from the front passenger side since I've driven over humps one side at a time and the drivers side makes no noise. I've had this problem before and the ARB bushes, drop links and consoles incl. bushes were replaced under warranty. This fixed the problem for 5 months... but it's come back now and my warranty has just lapsed!! Considering the number of times my car has been back at the garage, I decided to get VW UK involved. They tell me that they will investigate the re-occuring fault and maybe provide me with some sort of good-will, but they have advised me that they will require a diagnostic report from the stealers @ 98/hr +VAT labour. Also, my confidence in VW UK's goodwill has dampened having read posts about members previous dealings. With this in mind, I don't like the idea of a potentially huge bill and no guarantee that it won't re-occur another 5 months down the line. So despite the fact that I've booked my car in for the diagnostic report, I am having second thoughts about going down the VW UK route.
From reading around this forum and briskoda.net, I am fully aware that this is a common problem on a large number of VAG models (mainly due to the rubbish voided console bushes). But I have also read that it could be down to the ARB/ARB bushes/drop links/front lower wishbone bushes. I've had a look at all these things bar the ARB and front lower wishbone bushes, but they all seem fine to my untrained eye.
I am considering doing it myself, but I have no idea what could be the cause. Has anyone else had similar problems and where should I look first?
If it is the console bushes, I'll probably upgrade them to the cupra non-voided ones. I've found a tool at www.bonustools.co.uk to do the job, but at 189 quid, I would prefer to have a VW specialist do it for cheaper. Can anyone recommend a VW specialist in the London or Bristol region who has had experience changing the bushes?
