SHE'S HERE!!!

Yes! That's right! My car's arrived!
It's not allowed on the road till tomorrow ('03 reg), so the dealer brought her over on trade plates and she's tucked up in the garage!
Got home from college, the old man made up some story about needing a lift in the garage (didn't suspect a thing
), went outside, opened the garage, and there she was!
1.2 55bhp...metallic black...16 inch wheelies...looks the dog's danglies at nightime. Just trying to work out what wheels they are at the mo! Me Dad says they're the Sport wheels, but the sport wheels are 15 inch, whereas mine are 16inch. They might well be Barcelona (they're 5-spoke), but I'll have to confirm tomorrow.
Oh, and the engine may be the absolute bottom of the range, but boy, does she sound nice! Gave a few quick squirts up to 5.5kish and it just sounds so sweet...u 4-cylinder boys don't know what ya missing!
Got a few more bits and bobs to sought out now, like a 6-disc changer, lowering springs/dampers (riding a touch too high on standard susp for my liking), and possibly the Caractere body kit...undecided on that one.
No pics to show as of yet, but rest assured I'll upload plenty for you lot tomorrow night.
Now all I need to do is drive the bloody thing!

Congratulations on your new car!
You have the newest new polo on the forum!
Take it easy with her, 4000rpm max for 1000 - 1500 miles (they will go by quickly, don't worry!) and get some Zymol for her! - Trust me on this, I bought a new MK4 Polo in black and in retrospect I wouldn't have touched her with anything other than Zymol products had I have known what I know now!

Congrats mate! At least you've got your car! Mine is still in Spain ordered on Jan the 5th for March 1st and is still not here!

Unfortunately, it's raining here now and so the pics will have to wait till tomorrow.
Grabbed some L-plates on the way home from work (ones that go in your window, don't want to ruin the painwork now do I?), so will be taking her out tomorrow morning!
Thanks for the tip about cleaning her, Josh. I'll take your advice!

Thanks for the link there, Josh. Is the one I'm ideally after the "Zymöl Starter Kit - 'Titanium' & Vinyl"?
Went out with the mother this morning to a local car park, proved to her that I could actually drive the thing (although it's harder to make a smooth start than my instructor's diesel Saxo) and then she decided we should go to another car park. She let me drive there, and after a few minutes of driving around this car park, she realised there's no point seeing as I just drove across the city to get there! Tsk...
Got plenty of looks in the gleaming black beauty, although most probably due to it being an '03. Ah well, it felt good at the time!

We got ours today, so I guess that makes your sig block passe
1.2 S (65b), reflex silver, hieght adj seats, leather steering wheel
Didn't bother with the alloys for now, better half will only kerb them
Never driven the car before we picked it up, but I certainly understand what you mean about making the smooth starts... Stalled mine three times before I got out of the car park
